The Groovy Project is initiated by Fernanda Silva whose artistic creations have two things in common: "Groovement" as a movement language and her personal views on social and psychological behaviours.
Fernanda is an emerging choreographer developing her movement method simultaneously with her choreographic signature. The method is called “Groovement”, whose predominant characteristics are groundness, three-dimensionality, fluidity and organicity.

“Set Setting” is a work-in-progress, a 10 minute solo that explores physical possibilities in a constellation of different movement tasks.
This is a study about Fernanda’s individual and characteristic movement language named “Groovement”.
These elements have strong influences from GAGA (developed by Ohad Naharin), the style of Hofesh Shechter and his dancers Sam Coren, James Finnemore, Sita Ostheimer and Pauline Raineri, among others.
The qualities and patterns combined in this piece are structured in the forms of set material as well as improvisation. The recorded text is a guideline for the way the physicality is brought up in time and space.
The public is triggered to imagine the verbalized input and observe how the dancer interprets and responds to the propositions. Is she precise, does she always follow the given instructions?
