An award-winning and prolific choreographer, established Resident Island Dance Theater in 2010.
Lose sight in my right eye during dance training in high school. work often combines powerful contemporary choreography with ideas about human care.
Chung-An, Chang, borned in a little country side from Pingtung, Taiwan. Small and medium-sized enterprises are prevalent in this region. The fodder factory was the material to build up his choreography. It describe that time and space which have developed in the human society just like a standard system. We began to produce fear of insecurity and anxiety once if we are out of the law of cycle. Even if the surrounding environment was once again directed into the whirlpool of the “human society”, we are still forced to flow in the torrent and hard to withdraw from it.

Can one person bombarded by the pressures of modern life estabilise an entire society?
In Chang Chung-An’s Lost in Grey, Resident Island
Dance Theatre uses dynamic movement, multi-media projections and an experimental rock soundtrack to create a hard-hitting and intensely human reflection of mental health disorders in Taiwan and the wider world. The dancers’ bodies are the vehicle for a range of frantic motions, distorted perceptions and poignant emotions. Lost in Grey is a bold yet caring attempt to harness the complexities of human psychology in a single performance, and a caution against indifference towards an important issue.
